Yo people! for the project's day our group has thought of these ideas. Please tell me which do you think is more practical and better.
My group has decided to either make a broom with retractable bristles of to make a 'mop drier'.
This is how my group has decided on why to do this:
Broom with retractable bristles:
Many people face the problem of where to put their broom. Drilling a hole in the wall to put a hook will be too troublesome. having a 'S' shape hook will be too unsightly. And if they are to just make the broom stand by leaning it against something, the bristles will spread out and bend, making sweeping less efficient. So our group has decided to make a broom with retractable bristles so that it will become like a stick when retracted. An added feature is a head of the "ah-khey", the tool used to bring the bamboo poles up onto the bamboo hooks in HDB lifts.
Mop drier:
Carlin faces the problem of squeezing the mop dry after mopping the floor and so he thought of using the mechanism of the salad maker and install it in the mop pail. So all the people have to do is put the mop in and the mechanism will start spinning, producing wind, and with a little squeezing, the mop should dry very fast. But this might be a little costly.
We will most slightly do the first one due to the unsureness on how to go about doing the second one. Please leave your comment. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteseriously, i do not think is needed. and broom with the twisted thingy, is really not needed. To me, neither does my mum, face this problem. and there are already broom that are extandable from a small short one. so i do not think is needed. As for the mop, there is somthing of that kind of product in the market. i think people will use the one invented instead of yours because the economy is down, people will want to buy reliable things. hope this will help you. All the best! wen bin
I'm not sure if the mop would work but I get your point about the broom. Wen Bin, when he said the retractable he doesnt meant the whole broom but only the bristles. So it means that the broom would be of same length, only the bristles can retract so that the bristles would not drop out that easily like the brooms from our class. I'm not sure if I comprehended this correctly, correct me if I'm not. By, Lee Ming Xuan 1o3
ReplyDeleteI do not quite understand the first invention. Maybe you can kind of scan a drawing, so i can visualise it. From what you said , the first invention sound nicer. However , i think you can consult your mentor for opinion?
ReplyDeleteFor second invention, i dont really thinks it work. There are already alternative solution for the problem.
All the best! Sheng Yao
